Overview
B. Voc in Patient Care Management is a three-year course targeted to give perfect care
to patients. The goal of the course is to give students a general understanding of how
to manage patients with care, whether they are inpatients, outpatients, or located
anyplace else in the hospital. This student would be qualified to provide a variety of
services, including care for children, geriatric patients, heart patients, and cancer
patients.
In addition, PCM students need to be proficient in patient personal care, fundamental
nursing techniques, patient ambulation, and handling, storekeeping, disposing of
biomedical waste, etc. To put it simply, PCM students manage the complete patient life
cycle.
Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience
The eligibility for admission to B. Voc. In Patient Care Management shall be 10+2 or equivalent, in the science stream.
Planned arrangements for RPL
HSSC has developed RPL policy to conduct pre-assessment of
students for gap analysis as per NOS, sharing the gap & final
assessments of students and certification. It is explained in section
1 under Assessment,

While writing the NOSs the UK NOSs were also referred to and an effort was taken to maintain comparability in the technical part of the NOSs.
